About James E
There’s no point being in recruitment if you’re not a people person. I like to think that I’m just that – a people person. I get my energy and inspiration from people – helping clients find the right staff and candidates make the right career choices.
I started my career as a research economist with the Australian Bureau of Statistics, graduating with a degree in Economics. After the ABS, I joined the Commonwealth Department of Finance as a researcher for the then Minister, Senator Peter Walsh. Leaving government work in 1989, I entered publishing, and although based in Australia, did extensive work in both South-east Asia and the Pacific.
I enjoy spending time with my family and I’m heavily involved in community work.
I get a kick when clients say we’ve tried that before, but failed. With more than 12 years in recruitment, ten of those in executive search, and a well rounded business background, I understand people and the markets I recruit in.
I delve deep into the heart of every search with enthusiasm and creativity, which means I finds the right person.
